Low Carb Beer – Keep Your Spirits High

It seems that alow carb beer would certainly be a welcome wonder judging by the huge popularity of weight loss plans using lower carbohydrate foods. The diets, Atkins being the most popular, follow the research of many years where it was learnt that controlling carbohydrates in the diet was beneficial for short and long term weight loss.

Low carb beers have been introduced at restaurants, bars and are also available in supermarkets and have proved popular to the thirty million followers that have taken up diets which allow minimal carbohydrates – and usually no beer.

Michelob Ultra is a low carb beer that was introduced recently and supermarkets are struggling to keep the item in stock due to the huge demand for lower carbohydrate food products. The Operations Supervisor at Southern Beverage Co. Inc (distributor for Anheuser-Busch) Justin Carter, has confirmed that it is difficult to keep this premium low carbohydrate beer in stock, especially since it was formally confirmed that it was a suitable product to consume whilst following the Atkins diet.

Its only competitor that performs just as well is Bud Light, which has also been a beer in demand. The Atkins diet, and other forms of it, has become socially acceptable following its original launch in the 1970’s. Some restaurants have even introduced ‘Atkins diet lunch menu’s’ aimed at helping the customer continue to control their carbs, and offering lunches and dinners especially for those wanting a meal containing minimum carbs.

Dr. Robert Atkins passed away following a fall that caused head injuries recently, at the age of seventy two. He would have been very proud to see that his work has increased our knowledge in how to eat sensibly and maintain weight loss for a lifetime.
