Meal Replacement Bars – For The Diet Conscious

Meal replacement bars have always been popular with those wanting to lose weight and maintain their target weight, without substituting meals for low fat and tasteless food replacements.

Atkins has long been popular for the low carbohydrate diet plan, and the meal replacement bar is just another in the ever expanding Atkins range. Titled the Atkins Advantage bar, it is aimed at the person following a controlled carb diet which only allows very limited amount of carbs, but lots of protein. The bars available in the supermarkets today are generally the opposite (high carb and low protein), which goes against the Atkins theory.

The Advantage meal replacement bar is aimed at substituting cooking at perhaps just one meal time per day, maybe breakfast as so many of us claim to not have enough time to eat breakfast. As this is the main meal of the day, the replacement bars are convenient to eat and will provide the consumer with the protein required for that meal.
