High Carb Risk – Check What You Eat

Any food can carry a risk, and it is worth thinking about the high carb risk that your food can carry. Looking at the label is always a good idea, you need to know what you are putting into your body and a food label will always tell you the levels of carbohydrates contained within it.

High carb risks are things like fatigue, extreme tiredness, and loss of motivation. They can be avoided by selecting a diet which controls carbohydrate and lowers the risks that Dr. Atkins has associated with them.

Low fat diets actually carry higher amounts of carbs, and Dr. Robert Atkins studied the effects of carbs in the diet before releasing his books in the 1970’s which were intended to provide a person who wanted to lose weight with nutritional advice and a guide of which foods to avoid to lose weight. The foods that he recommended were high risk according to traditionalists, as he recommended foods with high levels of fat and low carbohydrates.

In First for Women, Dr. Atkins released his theory that fatigue is the number-one symptom that he had treated in his years as a Doctor. He was the founder of his company, the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine, and treated numerous patients who were not getting correct nutritional advice.

At the Center, Atkins would treat his patients. Although he confirmed that the high carbohydrate diet was not the main cause of chronic fatigue syndrome, but he re-energized his patients by giving them lower carbs in their diets.
